संघ, गांधीहत्या आणि सरदार पटेल

गांधीहत्येत संघाचा हात नाही, हे दाखवुन देण्यासाठी संघाने सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल यांनी नेहरुंना लिहिलेल्या एका पत्राच्या काही प्रती पत्रकारांना वाटल्या होत्या. सरदार पटेलांनी हे पत्र २० फेब्रुवरी १९४८ रोजी लिहिलं होतं. गांधीहत्येच्या चौकशीदरम्यान आलेल्या पुराव्यानुसार गांधीहत्येत संघाचा हात नाही, असं या पत्रात लिहिलं आहे.

परंतु खरा प्रोब्लेम तर पुढे आहे. [b]सरदार पटेलांचं हेच पत्र गांधीहत्येत सावरकरांचा हात होता, असं म्हणतं. [/b]

[red]याचा अर्थ गांधीहत्येत सावरकरांचा हात होता, असं संघाला वाटतं का ? [/red]

पुढे या पत्रात असंही म्हटलंय की, संघ आणि हिंदु महासभा मधील लोकांनी गांधीहत्येचं स्वागतच केलं.

[blue]The letter also states that the Mahatma's assassination "was welcomed by those of the RSS and the [Hindu] Mahasabha who were strongly opposed to his way of thinking and to his policy ... the RSS has undoubtedly other sins and crimes to answer for, but not for this one." [/blue]
